OUR RESPONSE TO CORONAVIRUS

Our “Family Serving Family” culture means that we and our independent local operators
strive to care for people just as we would our own families. Caring for our guests,
our employees, and our communities remains the forefront of our purpose.

 

Caring for our Guests:

• As a drive-thru concept, we have enclosed kitchens and have always focused our business on drive thru, delivery, and order ahead
• We have closed the few dining rooms that exist in the Checkers & Rally’s system
• We are limiting the number people on our patio and at our walk-up windows
• We are reinforcing our policies, including frequent and proper hand washing, along with the proper utilization and changing of gloves
• We are monitoring the execution of cleaning and sanitation best practices to be sure they are implemented properly in our restaurants
• We are asking any team member who feels sick to stay at home
• Delivery drivers are never allowed in our kitchens

Caring for our Employees:

• We have expanded our sick time policy and asked anyone who feels sick to stay home
• We have activated our internal CARE fund to provide financial assistance to our employees in the most significant need of help
• We are continuously reinforcing our health and safety policies, including frequent and proper hand washing along with the proper utilization and changing of gloves
• We have emphasized what our teams can do to keep themselves and others safe, which includes staying home if they are feeling sick
• We have closed the limited number of dining rooms in our system

Caring for our Communities:

• Our restaurants and franchisees are taking on an expanded role to help support their communities including helping to deliver meals to those in need and to our first responders
• We have teamed up with No Kid Hungry and committed to fund the delivery of at least 1 million meals to children in the most need
• No Kid Hungry and Checkers Rally’s Partnership
  We will continue to stay open as late and as long as possible to provide food for our communities and jobs for our employees
